In start topology, all devices are connected to a hub. All the data passes through the hub and hub is a central connecting point. As all the data passes through a central connecting point (hub) so a problem can occur here known as bottle-necks but the biggest advantage of star topology is that its installation and management is very easy.
When a packet comes to the hub then it transfers that packet to all the nodes connected through hub but only one node at a time successfully transmits it. In this case if you see carefully then you will come to the point that arrangement in this topology is logically a bus but physically it looks like a star. Advantages and disadvantages of Star Topology are mentioned below.
Ring
A ring topology is a network topology where each node (device on the network) connects to two other nodes. This forms a continuous path for the signal through each device.
The ring topology is a very organized network topology, and it performs well under a hefty network load. It can also be used to create a larger Token Ring network. One bad port, or even a bad node, can disrupt the entire network. Merely moving a node, adding to or changing the network can also affect the network.
Mesh
A mesh network is a local area network (LAN) that employs one of two connection arrangements, full mesh topology or partial mesh topology. In the full mesh topology, each node (workstation or other device) is connected directly to each of the others. In the partial mesh topology, some nodes are connected to all the others, but some of the nodes are connected only to those other nodes with which they exchange the most data.
Bus
Bus topology is the preferably used in Local Area Network (LAN). Bus topology consists of central cable called backbone cable that carries all traffic. In bus topology all nodes are attached with single leaner cable. These nodes may be file server, workstation and other peripheral devices. Bus topology is very simple and reliable. Inexpensive cable is used in bus topology. Bus topology is very easy to understand and implement for small network. Different devices and computers are easy to connect.

In the reception has a server and one pc connect to laser printer and dot matrix
printer.Inaddition it connects to four locations are consulting room doctor A has one pc,
consulting room doctor B has one pc,consulting doctor C has one pc.and in practice
manager has one pc (finace).totally ,all the connection make one local area network
called LAN.it is easy to share data to each other very fast.
